Right now, our main projects are  :

  • Personalized participant info fields

You’ll be able to fill in more infos about your participants, from their Battle.net ID to their age, nationality, complete names etc.

  • Swiss System

One of the popular tournament structures is being added to our platform ! Swiss system tournament, that you may have encountered in chess tournaments, will add another way to create fair match ups between your participants.

  • Mobile App

We introduced our mobile app a few weeks ago and are happy to report that its availability is now a matter of days on iOS and Android. We hope you’ll like this V1 !

  • Paid registration

Our popular feature is expanding each day : after Euro and Dollar, Toornament Paid Registration will support English Pound, Swedish Krona and Danish Krone.

After a closed invite access, we’re now opening this feature to more and more organizers. Just fire us an email !

  • Toornament TV

Our smart content display for public screens and in between matches sequences now handles Bracket Groups. You’ll be able to request Toornament TV in your dashboard very soon.

WHAT’S NEXT ? WHAT IF IT WERE UP TO YOU ?

As Toornament is an ever-evolving project, we keep on working on various matters, from UX to new features and for our next leads, we’d like to hear from you.

Which feature would you like added on Toornament ? How would tweak the UX ? We’re all ears for your suggestions here on our blog or through twitter !

[Organizers] Let’s talk about the Loser Bracket

“Double Elimination” is a very popular tournament structure in Esports, despite its more intricated nature.

The relationship between Winner and Loser brackets can at some point make the audience and the organizers alike scratch their heads. Who goes where, who faces who, at which stage ?

So here’s our take on the right way we correlate the two brackets, especially how and where a player from the Winner Bracket ends in the Loser Bracket.

[Organizers] Why it matters to (full)fill your tournament with information

As we’re always diving in our statistics, we’ve come to realize that a decent part of the thousands of tournaments created on our platform are not entirely filled with the proper datas and infos.
Many factors leads to this situation: lack of time, too many things to handle during the event, lack of knowledge about the possible features…Numbers show us that better data-filled a tournaments lead to better experience (before, during and after) for the competitors and the audience alike.

[Organizers] Tip: What are the different placement methods?

You have three methods to place your participants in your tournament:

Participant number:
Toornament will optimize the placement with the participant number used as seed. This method has more options according to the stage type and order (group, or bracket, first or second stage).

Random:
As the name suggest.

Manual:
Don’t forget, you can manually place each participant by clicking on the desired slot, directly in the bracket or group.

And at any time you can reset your placement to start again from a blank page.
