Tooltips & New Settings

Following our Dashboard Update, we keep on improving our organizers’ experience with the platform with these two new quality-of-life updates:

Tooltips

Help messages are now integrated into the platform, for a better readability, without being in the way of more advanced users.

Pay attention, some of them have links inside to learn more about advanced features!

New Settings

Just like how we gathered all relevant information about the tournament status on a single interactive Dashboard, all settings are now accessible from a single page, much clearer and design than the unfolding menu:

Blocks may appear or disappear depending on the discipline, and will be greyed out if you do not have the permission to use them.

These are soon to be followed by other improvements, especially in the Participant (registration process update) and Developer (Organizer API v.2) domains! Stay tuned!

Here is your new Organizer Dashboard

You do remember our old dashboard, with its cards and icons?
You can now kiss it goodbye, as we release a brand new dashboard, made to guide you through your whole tournament process:

new dashboard

Blocks are now evolving as your tournament progress, displaying relevant information during the setup and running phases, such as the registrations, participants, stages, matches etc.

As usual, it’s bound to get improved further, so don’t hesitate telling us what you think about it, and if you want to share your feedback about other features, our Feedback Form is still up!

Organize your tournaments in peace thanks to our GDPR update!

As you may have noticed these past weeks, new General Data Protection Regulation have come into effect in Europe. As we have always taken privacy very seriously, it did not change much on the platform: we have always only asked for the necessary data we need to provide you with the services (basically, an email address, all the rest is optional), we do not track our users, we do not sell your data, there are no ads or monetization of your data etc.
Though, it still caused a few changes on the platform, and here they are:

First, we have updated our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. We recommend you take the time to read those at least once.

If you have any question on these matters, a new contact email address is now available: [email protected]
You will also notice the apparition of a “Report Abuse” link or button on several pages. This will allow you to report any abuse you might encounter on the platform, through another email contact: [email protected].

In addition, organizers have now the possibility to add their own Custom Terms of Use to tournaments they organize, that participants will have to accept along those of Toornament when registering to a tournament. Please note that these Custom Terms of Use shall comply with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Finally, you may now delete your Toornament account easily from Your Account if you no longer have a use for the service, or any other reason.

All in all, it means that by using Toornament, you are GDPR compliant, and can keep organizing your tournaments with peace of mind!

Toornament Feedback: Summer Edition

It’s time for us to gather another round of great feedback from our community!
We have a lot of things planned for the second half of 2018, with new features, and especially improvements for existing ones, but we want you to tell us what you think should be given top priority!

As of now, we are hard at work on adding some of the missing endpoints for the API and a revamp of the Organizer Dashboard general view to help organizers keep track of what is going on in their tournaments.

But as for what comes next, that is where YOU come into play. Simply answer a short questionnaire about current and upcoming features to let us know your thoughts and feedback about them all!

Free-for-All and Racing Games
